October 10, 2007 First time seeing HuiHui’s picture and Medical report on AHH Agency website

October 23, 2007 Faxed documents and Petition to adopt HuiHui to AHH

October 27, 2007 Left for Willamsburg

November 2, 2007 Return home from Williamsburg and was expecting “news”; No news today. Should hear news next Friday after AHH’s committee meets to decide.

November 9, 2007 AHH calls to tell us the news that HuiHui is ours!!!

November 12, 2007 Social Worker visited, mailed background checks,ordered Marriage Certificates and Birth Certificates, Dr. appointments.

November 13, 2007
· Fingerprints taken locally at Police Dept. and mailed to social worker
· Mailed LOI and PAPL to AHH!!!

November 16, 2007 LOI mailed to China!!!!

November 19, 2007 Fingerprints arrived at Homestudy agency and Social Worker mailed to FBI for approval

November 20, 2008 Socialworker visits again. HuiHui is 11 months old today!

November 23, 2007 Received Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificates in the mail. Joel’s Certificate and our Marriage Certificate were Authenticated through the Secretary of State. We mailed Trina’s Birth Certificate to the Secretary of State for Authentication.

November 29, 2007 Received Trina’s birth certificate from Secretary of State.

December 18, 2007 Collected 11 out of 13 documents for Dossier. Still waiting on homestudy and I171H. Notarized the remaining documents.

December 20, 2007 Baby is 1 year old today! Celebrated Baby’s birthday a half a world away.

January 2, 2008 News that Trina’s local fingerprints are illegible and need to be retaken after waiting 7 weeks.

January 4, 2008 Trina has fingerprints retaken and mailed to the state. Mailed HuiHui's package to China.

January 11, 2008 Trina's fingerprint results are ready!

January 20, 2008 HuiHui is 13 months old today!

January 28, 2008 Last homestudy visit!

January 29, 2008 Homestudy is mailed to USCIS!

February 20, 2008 Baby is 14 months old today!!

February 22, 2008 USCIS Fingerprint Appointment!

March 3, 2008 News from China...we have been Pre-Approved!!! Still waiting for Pre-Approval in writing. 108 days waiting for verbal Pre-approval (PA).
March 6, 2008 Mailed 12 documents for Authentication!
March 12, 2008 I171H Arrived Today!!! One month, one week, and five days waiting since Homestudy mailed. 19 days since fingerprint appointment!! Mailed I171H for Authentication!
March 13, 2008 Written Pre-Approval (PA) from China arrived today!! 118 days!!
March 20, 2008 Dossier To China (DTC)!!!!!! AND Baby is 15 months old today!!
March 31, 2008 Log In Date (LID) China logs us in to their system.
April 20, 2008 Baby is 16 months old today!!
May 20, 2008 Baby is 17 months old today!!
June 9, 2008 We got our LOA today!! Letter Of Acceptance!! 70 days from Log In Date!!
June 20, 2008 Baby is 18 months old today!!
June 27, 2008 Travel Approval!!
July 3, 2008 Consulate Appointment Confirmed and tickets bought!!
July 17, 2008 Leaving for China
July 20, 2008 Gotcha Day
July 21, 2008 Adoption Day

9 months and 10 days from the first time we saw Benjamin's picture and medical report to having him in our arms...forever!!!
